In this first episode of the Fall Podcast with our older adults, Rev. Melissa Kime-Hall speaks with Oak Grove’s oldest church member, Hassie Padgett! She recently celebrated her 101st birthday and she has borne witness to so many historical moments, lived through both tragedies and joys of life, and is so much fun — and full of sage advice you will want to hear. Other guests include Chuck Rogers, Cathy Huffines, and Barbara Adams.
Our Annual “Celebration of Wisdom and Grace” Worship Service is on Sunday, August 24th at 11am Traditional Worship.
We will hear from folks about some of their spiritual practices, whether it’s photography and seeing the world through different “lenses”, devotion to a daily meditation practice, living out our faith through acts of compassion, or how lifelong involvement here at OGUMC has impacted lives of people in the community—both locally and globally.
New episodes will come out each Tuesday morning on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple podcasts.
